Bios
One of the greatest sitar maestros of our time, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan hails from the revered Etawah Gharana and is celebrated for his innovative yet deeply traditional approach to Indian classical music. Known for his “Singing Sitar,” which beautifully emulates the human voice, he has spent a lifetime perfecting his craft. With performances at major festivals worldwide and collaborations with legends like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustadji continues to mesmerize audiences globally. His contributions have earned him prestigious honors such as the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and Padma Shri.
Anubrata Chatterjee, son of tabla maestro Pt. Anindo Chatterjee, was groomed from a young age to be a tabla player. He debuted as an accompanist with Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia and has since accompanied legends like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, and Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan. Internationally, he debuted with a solo performance on B.B.C. World Radio in 1991 and has since performed globally, frequently touring the U.K., U.S.A., and other major musical centers.
Subhajyoti Guha, a senior disciple of Pandit Sankha Chatterjee, is a distinguished Tabla player from Kolkata, India. A grade 'A' artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan, he regularly performs across India and internationally, collaborating with renowned artists. Beyond Indian Classical Music, Subhajyoti has worked with jazz musicians in the USA and Canada, and leads the Indo-Jazz band AMEYA in Toronto. Despite holding a Master's in Applied Mathematics from Jadavpur University, his passion lies in performing and promoting Indian Classical Music globally.
